| 23 November 1877 There is a report of the crime in the Birmingham Daily Gazette Friday 23 November 1877 p.6 col.2: TILL ROBBERY, -Thomas Robinson (15), labourer, Howard's Place, was charged on remand with stealing a till containing 7s. 6d. from the shop of Robert Sidwell, 119, Lichfield Street.-The robbery was committed a week ago, and the prisoner was taken into custody by Police-constable Hathaway.- He was sent to gaol for 21 days, and ordered to be detained in a reformatory school for five years. |
