| 9 October 1880 There is a short report of the crime in Aris's Birmingham Gazette 9 October 1880 p.7 col.4: EMBEZZLEMENT BY A BOY. - Albert W. KINNETT (14), was charged with embezzling £2 16s. 3d , belonging to his employer, Mr. G. Rollason, lamp manufacturer, Pershore Street. - The prisoner had been in the employ of the prosecutor a month, and was entrusted by him to collect accounts. He received accounts amounting to the sum mentioned, and then absconded. - He was sent to gaol for fourteen days, and ordered to be afterwards sent to a reformatory for four years. |
