| 25 May 1901 The crime that sent him to Saltley was reported in the Staffordshire Advertiser Saturday 25 May 1901 p.7 col.7: STEALING A BICYCLE. - Edward Buscott, 17, and Tom R. Finney, 15 [first name given thus], Woodland-street, were charged with stealing a bicycle, value £4 10s., the property of John Harvey, cycle dealer, Lonsdale-street. The bicycle was missed from the prosecutor's back yard and the prisoners were found in possession of it. Buscott was fined 20s. and costs, and Finney, who had been previously in trouble was committed to a reformatory for three years. | |
