| 15 July 1893 A previous offence was reported in the Birmingham Daily Post Saturday 15 July 1893 p.8 col.5: ASTON POLICE COURT. - At these sessions, yesterday - before Mr. J. T. Collins and Alderman A. Johnson - William Barrows (13), schoolboy, 5, Wellhead Lane, Perry Barr, was charged with stealing 3½d. in money from the till of Henry Pinkstone, of 117, Vicarage Road. On Wednesday morning prisoner visited prosecutor's shop, climbed over the counter, and was in the act of taking some money from the till when Mrs. Pinkstone caught him. He was sentenced to receive twelve strokes with the birch rod. | |
