| 8 February 1889 There is a very brief report of the preliminary hearing in the Staffordshire Sentinel Friday 8 February 1889 p.3 col.4: ABSCONDING FROM THE WORKHOUSE. - David Harrison, a boy of fourteen years, was brought up on remand charged with running away from the Chell Workhouse in Union clothing on the 1st inst. - The Stipendiary decided to give the boy another chance, and ordered him to come up for judgment when called upon. | |
