Circumstances of Death
| William is listed as dying of gun shot wounds on 29th August 1916 at one of the Military Hospitals near Rouen. The 5th Battalion war diary does not give us any clues as to when he was originally wounded and so we cannot comment further on how and where he was so wounded. |
