Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
Arthur's unit the 92nd Battery of 117th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, landed at Cape Helles, Gallipoli, with 29th Division on 25 April 1915. It remained in the Dardanelles until January 1916 when the division was evacuated to Egypt.
I have been unable to find the War Diary and therefore cannot establish when Arthur was wounded.

- Arthur's father Driver Arthur Wilson Snr died whilst service and we have not yet established why he was not remembered on the Kineton Memorial which specifically states that the man remembered is Bmbr A R Wilson.
- The 1901 census states that Arthur Jr was born in Shenley, Hertfordshire (not Leed's per Soldiers Who Died in WW1 record) and mother Sarah was born in Tysoe, Warwickshire - hence the connection.
- We have yet to find any evidence that Arthur ever lived in Kineton. However the below attached Newspaper cutting reveals that his mother Sarah was living on Banbury Street in 1915.
